Music and My Love Of It

I have a love of music or for music, I'm not sure the right way to phrase it. I do know that there is always some playing at my house and I prefer it to the television for background noise. I enjoy all genres usually and probably have favorite songs that span through most of them.
I thought it would be nice to share songs from off my very large amazon playlist and the reason why I put them on there.
The first song on my playlist is Crystal Blue Persuasion by Tommy James and the Shondells. (I did not make this video, it just the one that came up on my YouTube search)
Growing up on in New Jersey most people's favorite vacation spot was the Jersey Shore. This is where my love for the ocean stems from and why I am always drawn to go back once the weather warms up.

This is why my 10 year plan includes downsizing most of my stuff and moving to a beach in Florida, if only for a little while. I've always dreamed of living on or closer to the beach. So I'm working on making that dream come true slowly but surely.

Crystal Blue Persuasion used to be on a mixed tape and a then a mixed CD and now it's on my playlist. It conjures up images of lazy days on the beach or the drive to the beach because I used to try to play it whenever we went. Although a quick search on the lyrics and a brief read on Wiki tells me otherwise
Either way it is a peaceful and pretty song to listen to and it's very calming. I chose to put it first so that when I got to work it's the first song I hear and helps start my day in a calm and peaceful manner.
What are some of your favorite songs from your childhood? Do you look them up now to see if the mean what you thought they did back then?
