The Stay-Cation

This is a picture of where'd I'd rather be on my 5 day weekend. I work about 50 hours a week outside the home and on my nights and days off I usually don't get to do to much because I'm beat from working all week long. One of the side effects of having adrenal fatigue. I've learned to live with it though and know my limitations.
This holiday weekend I used the holiday we were closed to give myself a 5 day weekend off from work. I'd love to have spent it at some beach, somewhere, I instead decided to do a stay-cation. After all I pay a lot for my home and I really don't spend a lot of time here.

I'm using my time to catch up on much needed housework and rearranging my living room in my never ending quest to minimize my belongings as part of my plan to downsize everything before moving to Florida to live on a beach somewhere down there. It's always been my dream to live at the beach and I'm hoping to make that come true in the next 10 years (its a long term goal.)
I did have some fun though over the weekend going to see two of my favorite local bands. It was nice to get out and hear some live music and be around different people. I think I need to do this more often. I also got to see some fireworks, which is something I haven't done in a long time.
I spent some time working on my tan in my front yard (I'm sure the neighbors love me lol) and trying to get some pictures of my dogs in action for a shirt design I'm working on. This is harder than it sounds to do because neither of them really ever stop moving.

They love when I'm home, we try to have play time every day and when I can we take about a mile walk through town. It's the highlight of their day going on their daily walks. It helps me keep moving and get back into shape as well.
I also picked up a few trashy romance novels to work in with all the other books I've been reading. Sometimes your brain just needs a little fantasy to keep it running right.

I'm trying to work on making a video for the contest they have at the Supernatural Convention I want to try to go to, it's been one thing after the other though so it's very slow going. Below is one I made a few years ago to White Rabbit from Jefferson Airplane using the newest version of Alice and Wonderland for source material.
This should give you an idea about what I mean when I talk about vidding and go on with my geeky self.
I'm trying to work out how I'm going to start videoing myself doing exercises to share with everyone as well. I'm hoping to have it all together and get started this Saturday.
What are somethings you do for vacation? Do you prefer to stay at home or travel somewhere whenever you are off from work? What are some things you'd like to catch back up on if you made the time?
